New Year, New Camera, New Webpage

JanHerbert.com is up & running once again & I'm so excited about it! It sat horribly out of date for the past several years & with my new camera comes new inspiration to try & take this photography thing one step further. The site is working, but still in the works, so if it's not compatible with your browser currently, I hope to make it so very soon. Be sure to check back again to see more of my work as I plan to still add stock photography & more Event & Love pictures from a few upcoming sessions I have planned. :)

Pinewood Derby Day, 2009

Today my son raced his car in the Pinewood Derby. His car was a little faster last year, as he didn't place this go round. There was no disappointment on his part thought, he had a cool car & loved participating! Here are a few pics from the day...

A Boy Will Be A Boy...

No matter what it takes. This is Officer Andy-- I found him enforcing law in our backyard this afternoon. I wouldn't have noticed it too much if it weren't for the basket. LOL

A Wii Good Time

I had fun trying to find a creative way of capturing our Friday night Wii time. The space was tight & the speedlight was a must, so it was a real learning experience for me. This was my favorite of the shots I took.

Feel the love!

I found a bunch of these stashed away when I was cleaning a few things up over the weekend. I bought them last year so the kids could have something to decorate the windows with for Valentine's Day & completely forgot I had them. I'm looking forward to having some fun with them in the upcoming weeks!

This is another shot from yesterday. I was just playing with the light in my girls room (best light in the house!), & I really liked the colors in this one.

So I started a blog

It's a new year, I have a new camera, & I decided what the heck, I might as well start a blog. We'll see how it goes. I plan to use this to showcase some of my "work." Here's one I took yesterday. I think it would make a good start. :)
